Objectives for the upcoming fishing season and prospects for state support for the industry were discussed at a general meeting of members of the Regional Industry Association of Employers in the Fisheries Complex of the Chelyabinsk Region.
Currently, fish farms can receive state support for the construction and modernization of agricultural facilities, such as warehouses for storing harvested aquaculture. Farm-based fish farms can receive an "Agrostartup" grant or a "Family Farms" grant. Subsidies for the purchase of fish seed are currently under discussion. , Chairman of the Fish Farmers Association and Director of the Chebarkul Fish Factory, asked his fellow fish farm managers to assess their needs for state support and, if necessary, apply for subsidies. Yevgeny Ryndin also spoke about the association's work in 2024 . Specifically, he reported on his collaboration with the Russian industry association of employers in the fishing industry, Rosrybkhoz, which made it possible to discuss the protection of fish farming areas at parliamentary hearings in the Federation Council.
The meeting also discussed the use of fish seed, or more specifically, eggs from wild-caught fish for fry rearing. Sergei Khasanov, Head of the Department for Monitoring the Reproduction of Aquatic Bioresources and Fisheries Regulation at the Nizhneob Territorial Administration of Rosrybolovstvo, provided explanations via videoconference.
