
Over the past four years, the sown area in Kuzbass has been increased by almost 100,000 hectares, mainly due to the introduction of abandoned land into circulation.
Plus, agricultural producers have begun to use new technologies and modern resource-saving equipment in their work, which allows them to steadily increase their yields. As a result, last year Kuzbass grain growers harvested a high grain crop - 1,550.8 thousand tons.
“Today, more than 2,000 enterprises and peasant farms are engaged in agricultural production in Kuzbass. Their main task is to provide the region with high-quality products in a wide range. Over the past four years, thanks to state support, modernization of enterprises and the introduction of new technologies, there has been a significant increase in production. These positions need to be strengthened in all directions,” Governor Sergei Tsivilev noted.
Over the past four years, the villagers have also achieved an increase in potato yield from 177.3 to 186.9 c/ha. The production of greenhouse vegetables is developing - since 2018 it has more than doubled (from 8 to 18 thousand tons).
In the livestock sector, through the use of new technologies and selection, the productivity of dairy livestock increased from 4,340 kg (in 2018) to 4,869 kg (in 2021). For individual agricultural enterprises of Kuzbass, MILK yield was achieved in 2021: in Vaganovo JSC - 10,618 kg, in Beregovoy SPK - 8,978 kg. The total gross milk production in 2021 amounted to 283.7 thousand tons.
The number of pigs is growing, as well as the production of livestock and poultry (for slaughter) in general: from 129.4 thousand tons (in 2018) to 143.2 thousand tons (in 2021). Egg production in 2021 will reach a historical (since 1943) maximum - 1 billion 219.9 million pieces (in 2018 it was 1 billion 168 million pieces).
According to Kemerovostat, in 2021 in Kuzbass, the turnover of organizations for the production of food products amounted to 54,030.1 million rubles (128.1% of the level of 2020), for the production of beverages - 6,979.9 million rubles (134.5% of the level last year).
The volume of agricultural production (in actual prices) in farms of all categories over the past year amounted to 81,741.3 million rubles, which exceeds the level of 2020 by more than 20 billion rubles (60,588.7 million in 2020). The production index (in comparable prices) amounted to 112% against the level of the previous year.
