Land reclamation projects implemented in 2024 by Chuvash farmers were supported by federal subsidies

The capacity of three melioration projects implemented in 2024 will cover 478 hectares of fields in the republic.
"In 2024, three farms in the republic implemented melioration projects and applied for subsidies - these are the Muraty agricultural production cooperative, the Batyrevsky nursery and Kaspiy-Agro LLC. Based on the results of the competitive selection, they can be compensated for 50% of the costs under the federal program. The budget provides 27 million rubles for this area," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergey Artamonov.
In particular, the Muraty agricultural production cooperative will receive a subsidy for the technical re-equipment of the inter-farm irrigation system of the Zvezda and Ulyanov collective farms in the Vurnarsky District of the region. Wide-capacity stationary irrigation machines will be used on an area of ​​260 hectares.
A similar subsidized unit is also in Kaspiy-Agro from the Urmarsky District, here the area is 103 hectares.
The introduction of an irrigation system on the lands of Batyrevsky Fruit Nursery JSC provides for drip irrigation of perennial plantings on an area of ​​115 hectares.
The next stage of the selection will be the verification of the passed documents by the regional commission. If the selected applicants meet all the requirements, an agreement will be concluded with them.
Agricultural irrigation will help create optimal conditions for crop growth in the event of drought, therefore increasing yields several times, and then increasing the profitability of enterprises.
In 2025, state support for melioration projects at the federal level will be maintained. According to Sergei Artamonov, the budget for stimulating the development of villages and agriculture provides 4.55 billion rubles, which is a third more than in the initial regional budget for 2024.
