Last weekend, the results of the All-Russian "Best in Profession" competition in the "Vegetable Grower" category were announced in the Vologda Region.
Rail Shakirzyanov from the Arsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan was among the top three vegetable growers in the country. The federal stage of the "Best in Profession" competition in the "Vegetable Grower" category was organized as part of the regional "Working Person" project, which is part of the national "Personnel" project.
The competition took place over two days at the N.V. Vereshchagin Vologda State Dairy Farming Academy. Participants demonstrated not only deep theoretical knowledge in agronomy, breeding, and plant protection but also applied these skills in practice.
An expert jury assessed the contestants' skill in completing complex tasks simulating real-life agricultural conditions.
Ekaterina Avakumova from the Chuvash Republic was the overall winner and recipient of the grand prize of one million rubles. Second place went to Vologda resident Alexey Svintsov, HEAD of a peasant farm in the village of Maisky
in the Vologda Okrug. Third place went to Rail Shakirzyanov from the Republic of Tatarstan. Rail Shakirzyanov received a prize of 300,000 rubles. The awards ceremony will be held in Moscow in December.
