The production of poultry MEAT and eggs is growing in the Chelyabinsk region. In the four months of 2022, compared to last year, poultry meat production increased by 3.5%, eggs - by 7.6%. The growth was provided by the leading poultry farms of the region. Pig-breeding enterprises also show positive dynamics of production.
If last year, from January to April, 86.8 thousand tons of poultry meat were produced, then in 2022 - 89.6 thousand tons. Egg production over the same period increased from 502.4 million to 540.4 million eggs, including 527.6 million eggs produced in poultry farms.
“In 2020 and 2021, we saw a decrease in poultry production, which was due to market problems due to the CORONAVIRUS and the animal HEALTH situation. Today there are no such obstacles, production volumes are being restored. All poultry farms that have land in their assets are conducting a sowing campaign to grow poultry feed, - says Alexander Zavalishchin, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region. – Also, with a plus to the previous year, since the beginning of 2022, pig-breeding complexes continue to operate.”
Over four months, more pork was produced by 1.9 thousand tons, or almost 4%. From January to April, 44 thousand tons of pork were produced in the region.
“Production indicators are also leveling out,” the first deputy minister notes. - All pig-breeding enterprises of the region show positive dynamics compared to last year. The average daily weight gain of pigs increased by 9.5% and amounted to 506 grams per HEAD. The main increase in indicators is provided by the largest producer in the region - the Ariant agricultural company. Since the beginning of the year, the company has produced 33 thousand tons of pork, 15% more than last year. Among poultry farms, positive dynamics in the production of poultry meat is shown by Ravis - Sosnovskaya Poultry Farm, LLC Magnitogorsk Poultry Complex and CJSC Uralbroiler, in the production of eggs - PJSC Chelyabinsk Poultry Farm and LLC Chebarkulskaya Ptitsa. The increase in production was ensured both by the growth of the number of poultry in agricultural organizations by 7%, and the gradual restoration of the egg production index. The average egg production of chickens as of May 1 was 100.6% compared to the level of 2021.
