Food production in the first half of 2021 increased by 1.7%

In 2021, the Russian agro-industrial complex continues to develop dynamically in a number of key areas. In particular, growth is noted in the segment of the food and processing industry.

According to Rosstat, in January-June, food production increased by 1.7% compared to the same period last year. An increase was recorded in MILK production - for six months of this year it amounted to 2.8 million tons, which is 2.4% more than a year earlier. The production of MEAT of cattle, pork, lamb, goat meat, horse meat and other animals in the first half of the year increased by 0.7% to 1.5 million tons. 9% more than in January-June last year.

Положительная динамика достигнута благодаря планомерному росту объемов производства сельскохозяйственного сырья, совершенствованию мер господдержки, реализации новых инвестпроектов, а также модернизации производств. Высокие темпы развития отрасли позволяют полностью обеспечивать внутренний рынок основными продуктами питания и наращивать экспортный потенциал.
