The Alakol-Agro enterprise carries out extensive selection work with sheep of Kazakh breeds. The best foreign breeds, as well as outstanding Kazakh breeds, are used as stud rams.
Dorper rams are distinguished by their unpretentiousness, high fertility and fertility. The MEAT is distinguished by tenderness, marbling and excellent taste. Representatives of this breed were imported from Australia, including the white-headed dorper.
The Zvartbles breed is a meat and dairy breed; the protein content in MILK reaches 6.8%, which allows their milk to be used in production. They also have high fertility, and, in addition, have good meat qualities. They have high adaptive abilities. Distinctive feature: white stripe on the HEAD.
Texel breed. Despite the fact that the main representatives of this breed are currently imported from the Netherlands, British breeders began work on the breed. The body structure is barrel-shaped, the legs are short and strong, the back is straight. The coat color is white, uniform fineness 58-36. The height at the withers reaches 87 cm, and the weight reaches 140 kg.
The Suffolk breed was developed in Great Britain and is one of the most widespread in the world. The body of rams of this breed is elongated, the back is straight, the head is medium-sized and black. Height at the withers is 85 cm, live weight reaches 110-140 kg. Fertility and adaptive qualities are high. The legs are sinewy and have a strong structure. They are in good HEALTH.
The Texel and Suffolk breeds are characterized by high rates of increase in live weight: up to 3 months it is 600 grams. per day, after 4 months 400 gr. per day. They are also characterized by low fat content and the absence of a specific odor.
There are also crossbred rams in the first generation, obtained by crossing local Kazakh breeds and rams of various foreign breeds. This selection makes it possible to improve the productive qualities of local sheep breeds.
And of course, there are rams of local Kazakh breeds: Edilbaevskaya, Akkarabas, which are distinguished by their unpretentiousness and adaptive qualities to the harsh, sharply continental climate of Kazakhstan. All rams intended for insemination belong to the “elite” class.
As soon as the insemination work is completed, after a two-week break, sperm will be taken from these rams for freezing, which, by the way, can be purchased by anyone by contacting the contacts indicated in the description below.
