To organize the feeding of cows, the farm owns fields where fodder grasses are grown. In total, three mowings take place during the summer period, as a result of which 3.5-4 thousand rolls of haylage are harvested.
The feed chopper grinds hay and silage, and this mixture is fed to the animals using the feeder. The company also produces compound feed and extruded feed, which makes it possible to economically use raw materials and increase the absorption of nutrients by animals.
The choice of Dorper and Suffolk rams was not made by chance: in addition to good MEAT performance and palatability, these breeds have good adaptive capabilities to the conditions of the Moscow region.
At the time of filming, absorption crossbreeding of Merino sheep with Suffolk and Dorper sheep was in progress. Barns, the first and second generation, can be bought, and the ewes remain to increase their own breeding stock.
Sheepfolds are made thoroughly, the floor is concrete, the walls are protected by metal structures. All fences are removable and, like a designer, can be assembled in various variations: from individual cages for newborn lambs with ewes to group pens of various sizes.
Summer milking is used for milking cows in summer. In total, the farm has 20 dairy cows of the Jersey breed, which give about 18-20 liters of high-fat MILK per day, which is so necessary for making cheeses.
