The cross between the Merino landscape and the Edilbaev breed is distinguished by its hooked nose and long ears. They come in both light and dark colors. This cross is large, with high live weight and thin or semi-fine wool. The average weight of pedigree rams of the Merinolandscape breed is 130-140 kg, champions reach up to 180 kg. Kurdyuk is missing. The bright merino landscapes are characterized by good fertility. During control weighing of this cross at the age of 18 months, the average weight was about 75-78 kg.
The cross of the Zvartbles breed and the Edilbaevskaya uterus can be distinguished by its black color and white HEAD. The bones of these animals are strong, but not as rough as those of the merino landscape. High at the withers. Average weight 120-140 kg. Fertility is high, 220-230 lambs per 100 queens. At the same time, MILK production allows the ewe to feed up to three lambs. Thanks to their high-quality wool, these animals tolerate humid and cold climates well . A distinctive feature of the Zvartbles breed is the presence of a white spot on the head.
The cross of Charolais and Edilbaevskaya breed is distinguished by its ears sticking out to the sides and dark coat color. These animals have high legs and strong hooves, correct positioning of the legs and an elongated body.
The cross between the Dorper and Edilbaevskaya breeds is characterized by coarse, thick wool, although of high quality. It has good meat qualities, a slight hooked nose, tall stature, long legs and a small fat tail.
All the crosses we watched were very active and energetic. Let us remind you once again that all animals in the Suleimenovs’ peasant farm are kept on year-round pasture, without any fattening. At the same time, they calmly tolerate the harsh climatic conditions of Northern Kazakhstan.
