Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation visited the Ural Agrarian University

The official visit took place as part of the All-Russian exhibition "Field Day - 2021", which was held in the Sverdlovsk Region on August 12-14.

The Ural State Agrarian University was visited by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Maxim Iosifovich Uvaidov and the DIRECTOR of the Department of Education, Science and Technology Policy and the Fishery Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA Nina Alexandrovna Ivanova.

The administration of the university, headed by the rector Olga Gennadievna Loretts, showed the guests the material and technical base of the university, talked about the educational process and presented the research work of scientists and students.

In particular, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia visited the laboratories of plant micropropagation, automated hydroponic systems and artificial intelligence, essential oil crops, robotics and city farming, a classroom with modern agricultural equipment, a macerator, bone auditorium, an anatomy museum and much more.
At the exhibition of scientific achievements in the hall of the assembly hall, the guests were introduced to the developments of students and scientists of USAU in the field of digitalization, robotization of the agro-industrial complex, breeding and seed production of crops, processing of agricultural products, and much more.

M.I. Uvaydov, N.I. Ivanova tried ecochips obtained in an infrared camera by gentle drying, thanks to which all berries, fruits and vegetables retain all useful substances, including antioxidants. They tasted honey and tea from medicinal plants from the training fields of the Ural Agrarian University, healthy bread, MEAT delicacies prepared by students and teachers of the university in the training workshop for meat processing, and much more.

Young scientists-engineers presented an unmanned aerial vehicle for precision farming; biofuel and hydroponic installation, which allows you to grow any plants in a fully automatic mode, while reducing energy costs, saving planting area, and, most importantly, increasing the rate of growth and maturation of plants.

In addition, the director of the Department of Education, Science and Technology Policy and the Fishery Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia N.A. Ivanova visited the educational and experimental farm of USAU in the village of Studenchesky, Beloyarsky district, and appreciated the research work that students and university scientists are doing in the fields. This year alone, representatives of the university conducted more than 60 scientific experiments that touched on cereals, oilseeds, vegetables, fruit and berries, ornamental crops, potatoes, keeping animals, poultry, insects and much more.

“It is no secret that the agro-industrial complex is developing by leaps and bounds - new technologies, elements of robotics, digitalization are being introduced. The university is trying to match this pace of development in order to produce competent, sought-after specialists who are familiar with the latest technologies and equipment. it should be noted that today young people are actively involved in modern projects for the intellectualization of agriculture, with interest mastering the latest trends in the field of crop production and animal husbandry. And we, of course, support this initiative by opening new classrooms and laboratories and helping future specialists to build a connection between science and production.
