Agricultural organizations of Transbaikalia have completed the planting of potatoes. The sown area this year exceeded the figure for 2021 by more than 100 hectares. This was announced by the deputy HEAD of the regional Ministry of Agriculture Alexander Tyukavkin.
“Seasonal field work on planting potatoes was carried out on an area of ​​776 hectares, which is 17% higher than last year. The largest sown area occupied by this crop was noted in the Chita region - 392 hectares. The farms of the Uletovsky district planted potatoes on 164 hectares, the farmers of the Olovyanninsky district planted potatoes on 111 hectares,” the deputy minister said.
Currently, agricultural enterprises of the region continue planting vegetables - sowing work has been completed on an area of ​​82 hectares. This is 21% higher than the level of the previous year on the same date and 72% compared to the 2022 plan.
