Agricultural producers of the Moscow region are actively harvesting cabbage, about 43 thousand tons have been harvested. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Sergei Voskresensky.
“Agricultural enterprises of the region are now in the season of active cabbage harvesting. To date, about 43 thousand tons of cabbage have been harvested in the region. This is one of the few crops that is mainly harvested by hand, and we plan to harvest the entire cabbage crop before the onset of frost,” said Sergei Voskresensky.
The minister noted that agricultural enterprises of the Moscow region began supplying fresh cabbage directly from the field to all major retailers, supermarkets, as well as markets for the local population.
“Agrofirma Bunyatino and Kulikovo of the Dmitrovsky urban district are in the lead in the collection, having collected about 7.2 thousand tons and 4.6 thousand tons of cabbage. Also - "Agrofirma Sosovka" and the enterprise "Emelyanovka" g.o. Lakes with indicators of 5.1 thousand tons and 4.5 thousand tons. The Kolomna farms "Sergievskoye" and "Leninskoye" collected 3.6 thousand tons and 2.1 thousand tons. Good indicators in this district are also shown by the enterprises "Eco Fresh" and "Akatievsky". Lukhovitsky "SPK im. Leina" harvested more than 1.7 thousand tons of cabbage," said Sergei Voskresensky.
He added that, according to forecasts, the cabbage harvest in the Moscow region will be completed in November.
