
Positive dynamics is observed in the agro-industrial complex of Ingushetia, in particular, in the field of animal husbandry; in January-December 2021, the number of cattle in all categories of farms increased by almost 6% compared to the corresponding period in 2020.
This was told by the HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic Magamed Gagiev.
“The number of cattle amounted to 73,555 heads, which is 5.9% more than the same period in 2020. The number of poultry of all kinds amounted to 354,274 heads, which is 101.6% more than the corresponding period of the year before last,” the minister said.
In addition, over the year, the number of sheep and goats increased by 5.3%, and the number of cows - by 10.2%. According to Gagiev, the share in the total number of livestock and poultry of an individual farmstead is 51% for cattle, including 42.6% for cows, 18.9% for sheep and goats, and 54.9% for poultry of all kinds.
The minister also noted that last year there was also an increase in the production of basic livestock products in farms of all categories. In total, the country produced more than 8.7 thousand tons of livestock and poultry MEAT for slaughter in live weight, which is 109.5% by January 1, 2021. MILK was received by 17.8% more compared to last year's figures.
