Export of Lipetsk agro-industrial complex products is developing dynamically. Since the start of the federal project "Export of agro-industrial complex products", which was launched in 2017, export of Lipetsk agro-industrial complex has increased more than 4 times.
In 2022, Lipetsk region entered the top 15 regions of the country in terms of agricultural export volumes and the top 10 in terms of oil and fat product exports. According to preliminary data, the latter accounted for the main share in the export structure of the Lipetsk agro-industrial complex in the first half of this year. According to the results of the first half of 2023, 300 thousand tons of vegetable oils and oilcakes have already been sent abroad. The shift from raw material exports, such as grains and oilseeds, to products with high added value, which include vegetable oils and vegetable cakes, became possible due to the active development of processing capacities. Modern oilseed processing enterprises operate in the region. Many of them were built or reconstructed with state support as part of the implementation of the national project "International Cooperation and Export". Also, within the framework of the national project, Lipetsk producers of oilseeds are provided with state support to stimulate the production of these crops. In 2023, 8.9 million rubles were allocated for these purposes.
Grain exports have moved to second place for now. About 190 thousand tons of wheat, corn and barley were exported abroad in the first half of the year. In addition, Lipetsk agro-industrial complex enterprises exported animal feed, sugar , yeast, bran, legumes, beet pulp and other goods. The region's agro-industrial complex
products are supplied to more than 80 countries. The main importing countries are China , Turkey and Latvia. They account for more than 60% of the total volume of agricultural exports, both in kind and in value terms.
