
At the end of 2021, the EXPORT of milled products from the Tambov region increased by more than 19 times compared to the previous year, the Federal Center for the Development of Exports of Agricultural Products of the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA reported.
The main share in the export of this category of goods falls on wheat FLOUR. Last year, the Tambov region exported 4.57 thousand tons of flour to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Belarus. 
 Tambov flour is used for the manufacture of bakery, pasta, dumplings and is sold throughout Russia.
According to the Department of Agriculture of the Tambov region, for the first time this year, wheat bran began to be exported. In 2021, more than 15 thousand tons of the product were exported, the main buyer is Turkey. Wheat bran is a by-product of wheat processing and is mainly used as animal feed.
“There are 10 large and medium-sized flour mills operating in the Tambov region with a total capacity of more than 2,400 tons of grain processing per day,” notes the HEAD of the region, Maxim Egorov. - The region is one of the leaders in flour production in the Central Federal District. The export of this product is carried out within the framework of the regional project "Export of agricultural products" of the national project "International cooperation and export". In 2022, the region aims to further increase the volume of exports of its products.”
