The experience of last year's crop growing season has shown the success of the tactics we have chosen in the preparation and conduct of field work, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Belarus - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, opening the first zonal agronomic conference in 2023. The event took place in the Aurgazinsky district, where they discussed the tactics and strategy of the upcoming spring field work in 17 districts of Bashkortostan.
“Unfortunately, there are no reliable long-term forecasts for the weather, so we are working according to the worst option and preparing for a drought,” said Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. – In 2022, they demanded that it be weeded out as soon as possible, as a result, we managed to sow spring crops by 80% before the rains and did not fail. We grew a record harvest. We will work according to this scenario this year as well.”
The HEAD of the regional agrarian department stressed that the ideal option is to carry out a sowing campaign in 5 days, and a harvesting campaign in 10 days. To do this, he urged to actively update the technical park. Only the park of grain harvesters in the region needs to be increased by 2.5 times.
Ilshat Fazrakhmanov told the participants of the seminar about the strategic directions for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Bashkortostan, emphasizing that in 2022 an important milestone in the production of gross output was overcome. The indicator amounted to 247 billion rubles. Investments in the industry have grown, preliminary by 60%, to 15 billion rubles a year. Soon, 21 industrial dairy farms will operate in the republic, and it is planned to build 30 more by 2030.
Among the most important tasks in the agro-industrial complex of Bashkortostan is increasing the volume of exports of agricultural products, he noted. The industry has produced products in excess, now it is necessary to establish its stable implementation. Including foreign countries.
First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus Ramil Nuriahmetov spoke about the financing of spring field work in the republic, Deputy Minister Pavel Iofinov spoke about the repair and preparation of agricultural machinery for the season, and Deputy Minister Yury Lysov spoke about the creation of a raw material base for the development of the food market.
As Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Irik Surakov noted in his speech, in Bashkortostan the total sown area in 2023 will be about 2 million 880 thousand hectares. The task is to sow 15% of the total volume with elite seeds. Considering that the region's farms have 83 thousand tons of elite seeds for sale, with a need of 86 thousand tons, it is necessary to purchase only 3 thousand tons outside the region, which is quite feasible. It should also be taken into account here that the purchase of elite seeds in the republic is subsidized from the budget.
During the practical part of the seminar, the participants, including heads of administrations, chiefs, chief agronomists and engineers of agricultural departments (departments), managers, specialists of agricultural enterprises and farms of 17 districts, visited the selection and seed center of the Urozhay joint venture. It includes a point of reception, primary processing and drying of grain, as well as a seed plant and an elevator.
