Currently, the procurement campaign in the country has reached the finish line. The First Deputy Minister noted that in all categories of the country's farms, 23 million tons of bulk feed units have been prepared. Of these, rough - 19.8 million tons, including 10.9 million tons of hay, 7.3 million tons of haylage and 1.6 million tons of straw. 3.4 million tons of green mass for silage.
During the meeting, the work of the country's subjects in fodder procurement was noted. Penza enterprises are noted among the leaders: “Work is ahead of schedule in the Stavropol Territory, Moscow, Lipetsk, Irkutsk, Penza, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Volgograd Regions, and the Republic of Buryatia.”
In the Penza region, fodder crops occupy 120.5 thousand hectares. As of the reporting date, the farms of the region harvested 349.1 thousand tons of hay, 310.5 thousand tons of haylage, 191 thousand tons of straw, 137 thousand tons of silage.
In general, the pace of fodder procurement, as well as the presence of carry-over residues, will make it possible to fully meet the existing need for the organization of winter stall keeping of farm animals in 2021-2022.
