A sheep-breeding agro-industrial complex will be created in the urban district of Serpukhov, Moscow Region. The agreement on the implementation of the project will be signed at the all-Russian agro-industrial exhibition "Golden Autumn-2021" by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Sergey Voskresensky.
“More than 90% of mutton and lamb MEAT is produced in household plots and peasant farms, and therefore the products are not widely used in retail chains, as small producers are not able to provide retailers with the conditions of supply. And the demand for products is growing. In the Moscow region, the lack of these high-quality products is compensated by the creation of large sheep-breeding enterprises. Thus, we plan to build a sheep-breeding complex in Serpukhov with up to 10,000 heads and an estimated investment of 500 million rubles,” Sergei Voskresensky said.
The implementation of a new large sheep-breeding agro-industrial complex will create up to 100 jobs in the Serpukhov urban district.
The minister added that state support to the enterprise also involves subsidies to reimburse the costs incurred associated with the purchase of equipment; for reimbursement of costs for the creation of engineering infrastructure facilities, reimbursement of up to 20% of the costs of purchasing, including under financial lease (leasing) agreements, agricultural machinery.
