The farms of the Trans-Baikal Territory are currently almost completely provided with seeds of agricultural crops for spring field work. This was announced by the HEAD of the regional agrarian department Denis Bochkarev.
“Agricultural producers of the region today have the necessary supply of seeds for the sowing campaign. In addition, it is planned to import 1.3 thousand tons of seeds of high reproductions from outside the region to carry out variety change and variety renewal. By the beginning of seasonal field work, Transbaikal farmers will be 100% provided with seed stock of grain and industrial crops,” the minister said.
According to him, the plan for filling the seeds of agricultural crops is 26,000 tons. At present, the farms have covered 21.2 thousand tons, or 81% of the plan, for sowing in 2022.
Recall that the sown area in the farms of all categories of the Trans-Baikal Territory this year will be 219 thousand hectares, which is 10% higher than last year.
