In the vicinity of the city of Dagestanskiye Ogni, the most high-tech investment project in the south of the republic is being implemented in the field of greenhouse vegetable growing.
The project is being implemented by Derbent Agros LLC, construction and installation works are currently in the final stage here, the facility is planned to be put into operation in the coming months.
On Thursday, September 9, Sharip Sharipov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan, got acquainted with the implementation of the investment project. He was accompanied by the HEAD of the Department of Agriculture of the Derbent region, Yusif Gereykhanov, and the DIRECTOR of the Dagestan experimental station - a branch of VIR, Kishtili Kurkiev, who were acquainted with the progress of the project by the deputy. director of the company Mukhammed Musaibov.
The investment project, implemented on an area of 3 hectares, is based on the application of the best innovative engineering solutions. These are high-performance greenhouses from a French company, a European leader in the construction and equipment of greenhouse complexes. Modern greenhouses allow relying on advanced technologies for growing vegetables, thanks to the presence of an automated microclimate control system, optimal conditions are created for high crop yields and reduced labor and energy costs. Here, opportunities will be provided for regulating the microclimate by equipping with fogging systems, horizontal curtains, window ventilation, heating (with heating units and boiler equipment).
Also installed is a technological system for growing plants on hanging trays, a system for feeding plants with carbon dioxide, etc., and all this is controlled by a computer.
When selecting the site for the construction of the facility, the favorable natural and climatic conditions of the Derbent region were taken into account for greenhouse vegetable growing - there are many sunny days a year, which will significantly save energy resources. The availability of appropriate resources - water, gas and electricity, proximity to the main transport routes will also have a positive effect on the cost of production. Irrigation water supply problems are also not expected, but at the same time, the investor is recommended to build a reservoir for backup water storage in case of an unforeseen interruption.
The construction of such high-tech greenhouses requires large investments, tens of millions of rubles are spent on the construction of only one hectare. According to preliminary calculations, the payback period of the project will be at least 7 years. And this is subject to properly organized agronomic work. According to the business plan, more than 25,000 plants will be planted per 1 hectare of the greenhouse, in terms of yield, up to 45 kg per square meter can be expected.
“The investment project of Derbent Agros LLC is one of the most modern projects in the greenhouse vegetable growing of Dagestan. A similar greenhouse complex in the republic has only Yugagroholding OJSC, which is building the second stage on an area of 6.6 hectares. it is gratifying that the most advanced technologies are coming to Dagestan greenhouse vegetable growing. In modern greenhouse complexes, thanks to automation of control, effective protection and nutrition of plants is ensured, which directly affects the environmental friendliness of vegetables produced in such greenhouses, as well as economical use of energy resources. All this will have a beneficial effect on the cost of production and the demand for grown products. In other words, production based on advanced solutions allows you to get high yields, grow high-quality products,
He noted that the cultivation of vegetables in closed ground is one of the fastest growing branches of agriculture in RUSSIA. At present, our country is 65% self-sufficient in greenhouse tomatoes, 95% in cucumbers. The country continues active construction of new greenhouse complexes, including in Dagestan, where today there are almost 700 hectares of greenhouses. At the same time, a significant part of the Dagestan greenhouses is represented by simple structures in the personal subsidiary plots of the population. There are about 30 hectares of modern high-tech greenhouses in the republic.
“The Ministry of Agriculture and Food expresses great gratitude to the investor of this project, who brought the best engineering solutions to the agricultural sector of the republic, and this is real work in the direction of import substitution. Such projects are changing the face of the Dagestan agricultural industry, they are extremely in demand within the framework of the policy of modernization of the agro-industrial complex implemented by the leadership of Dagestan. Currently, the possibility of state subsidizing the energy costs of producers of greenhouse vegetables, which rely on high-tech solutions in their economic activities, is being discussed,” the First Deputy Minister noted.
