Construction of a pig farm began in Yamal

Agrofirm "Tolkinskaya" has begun construction of a new pig-breeding complex in the Krasnoselkupsky district. This will be the first closed-cycle livestock facility built in Yamal using energy-saving and modern technologies.
The pig-breeding complex will be located in the village of Tolka. it will create 10 new jobs. When reaching full capacity, it is planned to produce more than 50 tons of pork per year. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for the end of this year.
Last year, the builders poured the foundation, and now they are building the structure of the future farm building with a total area of ​​over 380 square meters. m. According to the project, the complex will be equipped with modern technologies. Automatic systems for feeding and watering animals, manure removal will be installed, computerized climate control will be carried out in the premises.
A sanitary inspection room, a disinfection barrier and a cremator will be placed in the production area of ​​the pig farm. For the storage of manure, it is planned to build a manure collection well and two manure storage facilities.
It should be noted that every year Agrofirm Tolkinskaya supplies pig products to the social sphere, and also sells it through retail stores located in the Krasnoselkupsky district. Due to the commissioning of a new complex, the volume of supplies to education, healthcare, as well as the commercial network of the municipality will be increased.
“Today we are seeing a great demand for pork both in the domestic market and in the social sphere. The construction of a pig farm will help solve this issue. The introduction of energy-saving technologies will reduce the cost of production, including by optimizing utility costs. In addition, new jobs will be created in the district,” said Alexey Shishkov, DIRECTOR of Agrofirma Tolkinskaya LLC.
The company plans to further expand production sites in the Krasnoselkup region. On an area of ​​18 hectares, leased by the administration of the municipality, a dairy farm, a poultry house, a modular slaughterhouse, a feed mill, a feed storage warehouse and other auxiliary facilities necessary for the production cycle of the enterprise will be located. It is also planned to create cultural pastures for grazing animals and an artificial reservoir for waterfowl.
In total, five enterprises of various forms of ownership are engaged in keeping pigs in Yamal - in Novy Urengoy, Krasnoselkupsky and Shuryshkarsky districts. The total number of pigs is about 700 heads. About 70 tons of pork are harvested annually in the district.
