For ten months of the current year, the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of Yamal caught 9,500 tons, which is more than 90% of the annual plan. In 2021, it is planned to produce about 10 thousand tons.
The leaders in production are JSC "Gorkovsky fish factory" with a result of 1142 tons, and the company has already exceeded its plan set for the year. In second place is Tazagrorybprom with 982 tons of catch. Over 640 tons of fish are on the account of the Aksarkovskoye fishing enterprise and a little less at the Salemalsky fish factory.
With a significant overfulfillment of the plan, the fishermen of the Krasnoselkup region approached winter. The result of the Tolkinskaya Agrofirm is 319 tons of catch, which is a quarter higher than the figure set for 2021. Employees of the Pripolyarnaya Agrofirm increased their own plan by more than 20 tons, catching 324 tons of fish.
“Now most of the fish catchers are already finishing their summer fishing. Enterprises are beginning to prepare for ice fishing - to purchase netting materials, fuels and lubricants, to carry out maintenance of the fleet. The brigades are getting ready to be transferred to the fishing grounds for winter fishing,” said Anatoly Markin, HEAD of the sector for the development of the fishery complex of the district department of the agro-industrial complex.
Of the total catch, more than a third of the fish came to regional enterprises involved in its processing. Since the beginning of the year, the volume of output of finished products in the district amounted to 3,164 tons, of which about 685 tons of canned food.
The Government of the Autonomous Okrug actively stimulates the development of the fishing industry. At the same time, the state support mechanisms used periodically need to be “adjusted” in order to respond as quickly as possible to the current tasks and needs of enterprises and the population of Yamal.
One of the key blocks of “upgrading” measures, which will come into force as early as next year, will be the conclusion by the department of agreements to increase the efficiency of fish processing with fish processing enterprises and agreements to increase the efficiency of fisheries with fish companies in the district.
