Thanks to state support measures in the Stavropol Territory, over the past five years, the area under super-intensive type gardens has significantly increased, which yield a crop in the second year of planting. So, if in 2017 the farmers of the Stavropol region planted only 10 hectares of such gardens, in 2018 - 230 hectares, in 2019 - 283 hectares, then in 2020 - 434 hectares and already in the spring of 2021 - 180 hectares. In the plans for the fall - another 290 hectares.
“Gardeners of the region, most of whom are celebrating APPLE Spas today, gradually began to move from intensive gardens to super-intensive ones. The latter use all the achievements of modern science and new technologies: weather stations, drip irrigation, anti-hail nets, trellises, and they are also distinguished by a more compacted planting area: from 2,500 seedlings per hectare. Therefore, on this bright holiday, I want to sincerely thank the Stavropol gardeners for their hard and painstaking work, thanks to which the industry is developing dynamically, and the apple is becoming a brand of the region,” said Vladimir Sitnikov, HEAD of the agricultural department of the Stavropol Territory.
Growing apples in the horticulture industry occupies the lion's share - the region can provide tasty and ripe fruits all year round not only to fellow countrymen, but also to residents of other regions of the country. In 2021, due to the fact that the super-intensive type apple orchards, planted 2-3 years ago, have grown and begun to bear fruit, the Stavropol Territory plans to reach the result of harvesting more than 40 thousand tons of apples.
Along with horticulture in SHP and K (F) Kh, apple orchards are laid by owners of personal subsidiary plots. Thanks to the regional program, initiated by the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov, residents of the region have been receiving state support for the laying of super-intensive gardens on an area of 10 acres for three years now.
Since 2018, residents of the Stavropol region have planted a total of 60 hectares of apple orchards on their plots, from which already in 2020 they harvested 80 tons of fruits with an average yield of 21 q/ha.
“In 2021, 11 districts of the Stavropol Territory declared themselves to participate in the only program of this kind in the country: Alexandrovsky, Andropovsky, Grachevsky, Krasnogvardeisky, Kursky, Predgorny, Trunovsky, Shpakovsky, Izobilnensky, Kirovsky and Novoaleksandrovsky - and this is another 200 personal subsidiary farms or 20 hectares of gardens. Their laying and financial incentives are scheduled for the coming autumn,” said Elena Tambovtseva, head of the crop production department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.
In addition, since 2016, the region has been receiving unprecedented state support measures in the form of compensation for part of the costs of establishing perennial plantings and caring for them before they begin to bear fruit.
“In 2021, 23 agricultural producers received subsidies from the budget to reimburse part of the costs of establishing and caring for perennial plantings, including nurseries, including the installation of trellises and anti-hail nets, as well as for uprooting decommissioned perennial plantings, of which 20 – S(X)P and 3 K(FH)X,” said Sergey Izmalkov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.
The amount of subsidies transferred to the region's farmers this year amounted to 483 million rubles, of which 453 million rubles from the federal budget, and 29 million rubles from the budget of the Stavropol Territory.
