Additional funds allocated to support dairy farming in the Chelyabinsk region

Agricultural enterprises of the Chelyabinsk region will receive subsidies totaling 103 million rubles as compensation for part of the cost of purchasing feed for dairy cattle. The regional Ministry of Agriculture announces the selection of recipients of subsidies, which, due to the tight deadlines for financing, will be held from December 16 to 17.

The distribution of subsidies is carried out in accordance with the Decree of the Government of Russia on the approval of the rules for the provision and distribution in 2021 of other inter-budget transfers with a special purpose, signed on November 30 of this year. Additional funding was allocated from the federal budget to support dairy enterprises in the face of rising costs for the production of dairy products. All dairy farms in the region will be able to apply for federal subsidies.

In the Chelyabinsk Region, by decision of Governor Alexei Teksler, funds were also allocated for the purchase of feed - 300 million rubles, which will be paid to meat and dairy farms affected by the drought. These support measures will help organize a successful wintering of farm animals and save the number of cows. Almost 200 enterprises and farmers have already applied for subsidies.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region Alexander Zavalishchin, this year, despite adverse weather conditions and a shortage of bulky feed, four municipal districts of the region received more milk in 11 months than a year ago. An increase of 495 tons was provided by enterprises and farmers of the Agapovsky district (104% compared to 2020), 1731 tons of milk was produced more in the farms of the Etkulsky district (107%). In Kartalinsky, they received 167 tons more milk, despite the fact that the drought in the region is observed for the third year in a row (106% of milk was produced from the level of 2020). Uvelsky district completed 11 months with a plus (103%), showing positive dynamics for the first time in recent years.

- For the most part, in our region, farms seek to provide their own forage base. But there are examples when enterprises work quite successfully on purchased feed. For example, Agrofirm "Narovchatka" in the Agapovsky district, where almost 70% of the feed is purchased. The enterprise does not have enough land plots to grow the required amount of its own feed. At the same time, the farm ensures high productivity of animals, - said Alexander Zavalishchin. - Prepared feed should cover the problems of the second half and the end of wintering, and purchased feeds are consumed, as a rule, at the beginning of wintering, so that delivery conditions directly to the location of the animals are easier.

At a meeting with the heads of municipal agricultural authorities and agricultural enterprises, the First Deputy Minister called for the prompt preparation and submission of documents for the payment of subsidies, as well as the formation of a competent plan for the upcoming wintering of livestock, which would take into account the issues of medical examination of cows, insemination of animals and rearing of young animals.
