About four thousand hectares of reclaimed land will be commissioned in the Kuban in 2022

The work is carried out within the framework of the national project "International cooperation and export" and the departmental program "Development of the reclamation complex of Russia".

“The creation of new reclamation areas allows us to get a stable harvest, increase the volume of agricultural production. For the Kuban, as a guarantor of the country's food security, this is an important direction. Therefore, we have developed a long-term plan for the annual introduction of irrigated land. Until 2024, the reclamation complex should be increased by at least 18,000 hectares,” said Veniamin Kondratiev at the regional plenary meeting.

Vice Governor Andrei Korobka said that in 2022, 3.7 thousand hectares of reclaimed systems will be introduced in the Kuban.

“Including within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export” more than 2.6 thousand hectares and under the departmental program “Development of the reclamation complex of Russia” - over 1 thousand hectares. We will allocate about 447.5 million rubles for these purposes,” Andrey Korobka said.

The deputy HEAD of the region also noted that in 2022, forest belts will continue to be cleared in the region. There are plans to put in order more than 3.2 thousand hectares of protective plantings.
