More than 1.5 million tons of milk is planned to be produced in Kuban in 2022

This is planned to be achieved through the launch of new agricultural enterprises.

“The first stage of the dairy complex for 3,000 cows in the Kanevsky district will reach its design capacity. A farm for 320 cows will be completed in the Tbilisi region. In addition, this year it is planned to begin construction of a breeding and genetic center for 1,200 cows in the Pavlovsk region. We expect that in 2022 the total regional MILK yield will be no less than last year - about 1.5 million tons. Milk production in the Kuban is a profitable area of agriculture, thanks in part to significant government investments,” said Vice Governor Andrey Korobka.

The deputy HEAD of the region also said that the production of MEAT of all types of animals in live weight should exceed 580 thousand tons. In 2022, the first products are expected to be received at the new pig-breeding complex in the Pavlovsky district. The capacity of the complex is 2.4 thousand sows.

Andrey Korobka stressed that the growth of milk and meat production is influenced by the introduction of new advanced technologies for keeping animals, a high-quality forage base, and the work of highly qualified personnel. As well as the provision of state support measures. In 2022, all types of livestock support that are in effect in 2021 will remain, including those that were carried out only from the regional budget: for an increase in the number of dairy cows, for the purchase of pedigree young cattle for import.
