Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Penza Region Roman Kalentiev took part in a working meeting of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dzhambulat Khatuov on the topic of seasonal field work.
In the Penza region, as of the reporting date, 2.07 million tons of grain were harvested with an average yield of 26.2 centners per hectare. Including the gross harvest of winter wheat is 913.1 thousand tons with an average yield of 27 centners per hectare, spring wheat 696 thousand tons with a yield of 25 centners per hectare.
Industrial crops in the region have been removed from an area of 52.2 thousand hectares. The gross harvest of sunflower is 17.5 thousand tons with a yield of 18 centners per hectare, SUGAR beet - 100.9 thousand tons with an average yield of 348 centners per hectare.
