In 2022, the implementation of the federal project “Stimulation of the development of viticulture and winemaking” developed by the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA will begin. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut at an online conference dedicated to the results of the national project "Wine Guide of Russia" - 2021.
The main goal of the new federal project is to increase the area of vineyards in fruit-bearing age by 35% by 2030. For this, it is planned to allocate from 2.4 to 3.3 billion rubles of state support annually, and the total amount of federal budget funds will be 25.4 billion rubles. Currently, the regions have begun to develop subsidy rules that will establish specific areas and mechanisms for support.
Summing up the preliminary results of the year, the Deputy Minister noted that, despite the unfavorable weather conditions for the industry, the grape harvest is forecast at 680 thousand tons, which corresponds to last year's figure. The harvest will produce about 44 million decaliters of wine. At the same time, some reduction in volumes is possible due to the ban on the use of foreign wine materials in the production of Russian wine, which is established by the federal law on the development of viticulture and winemaking. This year, imports of wine materials have decreased by 87%.
During the conference, Oksana Lut noted the great work done by Roskachestvo and experts in the preparation of the "Wine Guide of Russia". A large-scale study covered 30 Russian wineries and 610 products. At the same time, the number of wines that meet Roskachestvo standards in 2021 was a record compared to all previous years of the study.
