
A meeting between Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Tatarstan Research Institute of Agriculture (TRIAA) scientists took place at the Tatarstan Research Institute of Agriculture's experimental fields. Deputy Minister Dmitry Yashin and Aitugan Khaziev, Director of the TRIAA, also participated in the event.

. Tatarstan Research Institute of Agriculture (TRIAA) conducts research in the fields of breeding and seed production of winter grains, spring grains, legumes, cereals, oilseeds, fruits, and alfalfa. They are also responsible for the development and biotechnological propagation of new potato varieties, the diagnosis of potato phytopathogens, and the development of feed additives.
As part of the "Soybean in Tatarstan" project, the minister inspected the best early-ripening soybean varieties (out of 65 varieties) adapted to the republic's conditions and the specifics of agricultural technologies (inoculants, plant protection products). As part of the "Azot" project, he also visited a long-term testing ground for the application of modern nitrogen fertilizers to spring wheat, rapeseed, corn, soybeans, and potatoes .
Marat Zyabbarov then toured the experimental facilities and learned about the progress of preparing original seeds for new varieties bred by the Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture. During the meeting, the participants discussed the seed production features of the "Artika" and "Ava" soybean varieties and the "Yuldash" spring rapeseed.
Concluding his working visit, the minister visited the entomophage production facility and the renovated biopreparations facility at the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoztsentr" in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Vitaly Novichkov, head of the Rosselkhoztsentr branch, explained that the branch's production department produces approximately 200 tons of liquid biopreparations annually, and the product range offers a full line of biological plant protection products.
The branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosselkhoztsentr in the Republic of Tatarstan provides seed production and plant protection services. Rosselkhoztsentr employees analyze the varietal and sowing qualities of sown seeds, survey crops in every district of Tatarstan, and identify pests at the early stages of development. They also carry out protective measures on an area of over 4.0 million hectares.
