Measures to ensure seasonal field agricultural work in 2024 approved in Chuvashia

The corresponding draft resolution was considered and supported at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic, which was chaired by the Head of the Republic Oleg Nikolaev.
The document provides for organizational measures for the purchase of equipment, mineral fertilizers, fuels and lubricants, spare parts, seeds, the involvement of unused agricultural lands in circulation, as well as the training and advanced training of specialists and workers in the agro-industrial complex.
For this purpose, according to preliminary estimates, in 2024 , farmers will be provided with 6.2 billion rubles of state support.
Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister,Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergey Artamonov noted that the sowing area for the 2024 harvest will be 546.1 thousand hectares. In the structure, grain and leguminous crops will occupy 55.2%, forage - 34.3%, industrial - 6.4%, potatoes - 3.6%, vegetables - 0.7%.
The republic's farms have full stocks of spring grain and leguminous crops for spring sowing, the provision is 113% of the backfill plan. Work continues on the formation of mineral fertilizer and fuel reserves by farmers for spring field work, the required volumes are available from suppliers.
In addition, this year it is planned to carry out work on liming acidic soils on an area of ​​at least 13.9 thousand hectares - this is 5% of their total area in the republic - and to involve uncultivated agricultural lands in circulation in the amount of at least 11.9 thousand hectares - 60% of their total area in the region.
