Krasnoyarsk Krai was ranked among the top five regions in Russia for its work with gardeners. Our region took second place in the ranking. The assessment focused on state support measures implemented in the regions to develop the infrastructure of gardening communities, as well as the interaction of representatives of executive authorities with non-profit partnerships and public organizations overseeing gardening issues. Best practices were presented by 32 regions.
The ranking was prepared by Rosreestr at the request of the Government Commission for the Development of Gardening and Vegetable Gardening.
"Our region is deservedly recognized as one of the best in the country for working with gardeners and addressing their pressing issues. This high rating indicates that we are moving in the right direction, because with relatively small funding—131 million rubles allocated for this year—we have surpassed regions where the amount of state support for gardening development is two and three times greater," said Ilya Vasiliev. The regional Minister of Agriculture .
Four government assistance programs are in effect in the region. Subsidies are provided to municipalities for the construction, reconstruction, or repair of electrical and water supply systems and for connecting gardeners to them. Over seven years, 25 territories in the region have received state support totaling over 120 million rubles. Local administrations have improved the quality of electricity and water for gardeners in 62 non-profit partnerships.
Non-profit partnerships are eligible for grants of up to 200,000 and 3 million rubles, respectively. Under the first program, funds are allocated for the purchase of firefighting equipment, as well as materials and products for repairing electrical networks, water supply systems, and roads in partnerships. Under the second program, funds are allocated for the construction and reconstruction of electrical, water supply systems, and roads in gardening non-profit partnerships. Since 2017, 492 gardening partnerships have received grants totaling approximately 370 million rubles under both programs.
There are 12 municipal and inter-municipal gardening unions operating in the region. Grants of up to 5 million rubles are available for them to provide information and consulting assistance to non-profit partnerships on various aspects of their operations. Over three years, six such unions received 15 million rubles for these purposes. Over the course of the program, more than 2,000 representatives of gardening organizations have completed training. A survey showed that they found the knowledge they gained useful. The Republic of Bashkortostan, St. Petersburg , and the Moscow and Ulyanovsk regions
also topped the rankings .
