Kuzbass remains one of Siberia's leaders in egg production

For 11 months of 2021, 997.3 million eggs were produced in all categories of Kuzbass farms, which is 101.4% compared to the same period last year. At the end of the year, it is planned to produce more than 1.2 billion eggs in Kuzbass, which is 2% more than in 2020 (1 billion 193.5 million). Thus, the region remains one of the leaders in Siberia in terms of egg production.

“There are five poultry farms operating in the region in the egg direction. For more than seven years, they have been producing more than one billion eggs annually, which allows them to fully satisfy the needs of the population of Kuzbass in eggs. In addition, Kuzbass-produced eggs are in demand in Siberia and the Far East, and from this year, also abroad,” comments Andrey Aritkulov, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kuzbass.

According to the Federal Customs Service, about 900,000 eggs were exported from the region in 2021, totaling $0.2 million . Kuzbass exports eggs to Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Not only edible eggs are exported, but also hatching and day old chickens.

The leader in the production of eggs in Kuzbass is Inskaya Poultry Farm LLC of the Belovsky municipal district, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. Inskaya is the most high-tech poultry farm in the region, one of the best beyond the Urals (more than 40% of all eggs produced in Kuzbass). Laying birds are kept in production buildings equipped with modern high-performance equipment from Germany. The warehouses use high-tech egg grading machines that sort, check for defects, mark and package the eggs. Modernization continues - at Inskaya Poultry Farm LLC, work has begun on the introduction of modern available technologies for the processing of manure by fermentation with the release of the final product without a strong odor. A project has been developed, equipment for the processing of litter has been purchased and installed.

Egg producers have the opportunity to purchase the number of laying birds also from the Kuzbass producer: the breeding poultry farm "Snezhinskaya" today is one of the largest breeding reproducers in Siberia. The poultry farm reproduces the number of laying hens, providing other poultry farms with a herd. The poultry farm is also doing this work thanks to state support: this year the company received 24.7 million rubles in subsidies to support livestock breeding.
