Over the past five years, the pig population across all farm categories in the region has increased by 20%.
Last year alone, approximately 80,000 tons were produced—2.1% more than the previous year. Livestock farmers plan to reach 83,500 tons by 2030, a 35.1% increase over the 2021 level.
"Livestock farming is one of the promising areas for diversifying the region's economy. Farms are modernizing production and using modern breeding methods. Kuzbass has achieved complete self-sufficiency in pork production. We will continue to support producers as they expand their product range and markets," emphasized Governor Ilya Seredyuk.
