
Crimean agrarians plan to harvest about 130,000 tons of open-ground vegetables in 2021, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Andrey Ryumshin said.
“The gross harvest of greenhouse vegetables, according to our forecasts, will be about 12 thousand tons. Today, in the Republic of Crimea, all categories of farms have harvested more than 50,000 tons of vegetables: more than 40,000 tons of open ground and 10,000 tons of protected ground,” the Deputy Prime Minister specified.
Andrei Ryumshin also noted that this year Crimean farmers sowed almost 7,000 hectares of open ground vegetables, of which the harvested area has already amounted to almost 3,000 hectares.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said that this year it is planned to harvest about 20,000 tons of potatoes.
“Potatoes are grown on an area of 4.3 thousand hectares. The harvested area today is almost 2 thousand hectares,” the HEAD of the Crimean Ministry of Agriculture emphasized.
