For the safe wintering of livestock in 2022, the farmers of the Republic of Bashkortostan plan to harvest more than 730 thousand tons of hay, about 1 million 350 thousand tons of haylage and 1 million 200 thousand tons of silage. This is not less than 27 centners of feed units of rough and succulent fodder per 1 conventional head of livestock in agricultural enterprises and farms, - said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov at an operational meeting of the Government of the Republic of Belarus today.
He emphasized that in some areas with a high concentration of productive livestock, the need is higher - more than 30 centners of feed units per conditional head. At the same time, the agrarians of Bashkortostan do not intend to limit themselves to planned indicators, and aim to prepare a one and a half year supply of fodder. The current year is favorable for the growth of fodder crops.
Due to continuous rains in the first half of the summer, the farmers of Bashkortostan started forage harvesting a week later than last year. With the onset of favorable weather conditions in the region, the pace of work increased. By July 25, 526 thousand hectares of fodder crops, or 72% of all areas, were cut, more than 533 thousand tons of hay, 1 million 109 thousand tons of haylage were harvested. Good rates of hay harvesting are shown by the farms of the Alsheevsky district, where 21.5 thousand tons of roughage are stored. They are also actively harvesting hay in the Zianchurinsky (18 thousand tons) and Kuyurgazinsky (16.9 tons) districts.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus - Minister of Agriculture, agricultural producers of nine regions have already exceeded the haylage harvesting plan. So the farms of the Kugarchinsky and Ermekeevsky districts have prepared more than a year and a half of succulent fodder.
“Today, farms that have modern technologies for harvesting haylage in a package are the winners,” said Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. “This technology has allowed and allows them to prepare high-quality nutritious feed in a short period, even under adverse weather conditions.”
He noted that traditionally, on the eve of harvesting a new crop, zonal seminars “Field Day” begin in the republic. The first event will be held on July 26 in the Zianchurinsky district on the basis of the largest agricultural enterprise A7Agro RB. For two days - August 2 and 3, the “Field Day” will last in the Blagovarsky district, on the squares of the Blagovarsky breeding poultry plant. The final event will take place on the fields of the Yuldash farm in the Yanaul district.
The seminars will discuss the strategy and tactics of harvesting agricultural crops, an exhibition of modern agricultural equipment and experimental crops of the best varieties of grain crops, as well as selection and seed crops will be viewed.
