Kazakhstan. The Best Bull – Winner of the National Competition among Meat Breeds of Cattle – Named

In Kazakhstan, the winner of the National Competition among beef cattle breeds and the winner of the main prize of the competition - the new YTO-ME404 tractor - have been named !

The competition among livestock breeders was held as part of the Kazakhstan Field Day " Jańa Dala / Green Day '2024 ". The international jury decided in the nomination "Best Bull" of " Jańa Dala / Green Day '2024" to be a bull named "Shombal" of the Peasant Farm (HF) "Dauren" from the Abay region, representing the Republican Breed (RB) of the Kazakh White-Headed Breed Qazaq Aqbas . The bull "Shombal" is 16 months old and weighs 598 kg, birth weight 26 kg.

The keys to the tractor were presented to the winners by a representative of the competition sponsor, AGROTECHMANAGEMENT LLC.

The absolute champion, the bull “Shombal”, was immediately bought at the auction for 1 million tenge (185,000 rubles) by one of the farms in the Akzhar district of the North Kazakhstan region.

The vice-champion and the winner of the 1st place was the representative of the RP Angus Kazakhstan bull named "Stevenson" from TOO "KazBeef" in the Akmola region. The live weight of the bull is 578 kg.

The jury awarded 2nd place to a representative of the RP Hereford breed, a bull named "Stylish" from the farm of TOO "Olzha Arystan PK" , Kostanay region.

3rd place was taken by a representative of the RP Auliekol breed, a bull named "Topol" from TOO "Moskalevskoye" in the Kostanay region.

As is known, the Specialized International Exhibition and Demonstration " Jańa Dala / Green Day '2024 " was held in the agro-industrial complex of the republic on July 18-19. Within the framework of this event, the National Competition among beef and dairy cattle breeds was held. The result of the competition of professionals in breeding livestock was the selection of the Absolute Champion of the National Competition in the nomination " Best Bull" "Jańa Dala / Green Day '2024 ".
The competition was attended by 56 bulls of the Auliekol breed, Kazakh white-headed breed Qazaq Aqbas, Angus breed of Kazakhstan, Hereford breed . Bulls of the Kalmyk breed participated outside the competition program .
The selection of the winners was carried out by an authoritative jury from Kazakhstan, Ireland, Scotland and the usa - international experts in beef cattle breeding, who have been breeding cattle for many years .
During the National Competition among beef cattle breeds, auctions were held for the sale of highly productive breeding young cattle.

At the Field Day "Jańa Dala / Green Day '2024" , breeding sheep of different age and sex groups of the Edilbay breed and rams-producers of imported MEAT breeds dorper from TOO "AGRO TAWA" of the Pavlodar region, dorper, Suffolk, Charolais from the farm "Suleimenov K" of the Akmola region were also presented. Farms from the Akmola, North Kazakhstan, Karaganda and Pavlodar regions participated in the exhibition of breeding sheep. During the exhibition, an auction of breeding sheep of the Edilbay breed, national games such as koshkar koteru (raising a ram), zhilik syndyru (breaking a femur) took place. Equipment and veterinary drugs for sheep breeding, as well as the work of shepherd dogs were presented.

The specialized exhibition and demonstration " Jańa Dala / Green Day " is a traditional event in the format of Field Day, which has been held since 2013. The exhibition is the largest demonstration platform in the republic of modern agricultural technologies, breeding achievements, high-performance equipment, as well as innovative developments in the field of animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, plant protection and organic farming. As part of the Field Day, shows and auctions of breeds of breeding animals from all regions of Kazakhstan are held.
