Two companies from Karelia participated in the large-scale food festival "Tastes of RUSSIA," currently taking place at VDNKh. The agricultural cooperative "Agroalliance" (Olonets) and trout farmers from the "Kala ya Maryapoyat" enterprise (Kostomuksha) brought their products to the capital.
"Our company raises rainbow trout in the northern Karelia lakes of Verkhnee Kuitto and Nyuk, processes it, and produces delicious, natural products. We brought lightly salted trout, cold- and hot-smoked trout, preserves and semi-finished trout products, and preservative-free caviar to the "Tastes of Russia" festival. Muscovites and visitors alike highly praised the quality of our products, and many returned for more. We attended the festival from August 14th to 19th. "This is a vibrant, action-packed, and engaging event where you can sample produce and dishes from all corners of Russia, watch performances by groups from various regions, and make new friends," explained the company "Kala ya Maryapoyat."
Employees of the Agroalliance cooperative presented natural berries and berry products in Moscow, including preserves, jellies, and marmalades. The "Tastes of Russia" festival, which runs until August 24, brought together the best farmers and producers from across the country. 77 regions and over 300 producers will showcase over 5,000 unique products, from Sakhalin scallops to Bashkir honey. National dishes will also be on display, including Buryat buuzy, Caucasian shashlik, Far Eastern crab soup, and much more. There will also be a signature "Tastes of Russia" gastronomic menu, the best domestic wines, concerts, culinary shows, master classes, and performances. The national song and dance ensemble of Karelia "Kantele" also demonstrated its skills to the guests of the gastrofestival.
