Campaign for obtaining offspring in sheep breeding began in Transbaikalia

The lambing campaign has started in the sheep farms of the Trans-Baikal Territory, said the HEAD of the regional agrarian department Denis Bochkarev.
“Sheep breeders of the Zabaikalsky, Kyrinsky, Nerchinsky, Chita districts, Aginsky, Duldurginsky, Mogoytuysky regions and the Argunsky district have begun to receive offspring. To date, a little more than 6,000 lambs have been received,” the minister said.
He noted that all agricultural organizations are fully provided with fodder, sheep are kept in stalls and receive enhanced nutrition. Lambs are kept with queens in separate cages, a comfortable temperature is maintained in livestock buildings.
In total, 142.5 thousand ewes entered the brood campaign. Mass lambing in the farms of municipal districts will begin in early April.
