
The heads of agricultural enterprises of the Kaluga region studied the most effective methods of crop production and beekeeping.
The training was organized by the Business Development Agency of the Kaluga Region together with the training center for advanced training in the field of the agro-industrial complex (FGBOU DPO Kaluga IPK). For three days, 30 farmers of the region were trained in the best agricultural practices.
At the seminar "Professional protection of grain and industrial crops", the participants learned methods of combating plant diseases and pests. We got acquainted with the features of the choice of agricultural crops for cultivation.
Kaluga farmers learned innovative approaches, working methods, actions for the preservation of insects, marketing tools in the field of beekeeping at the training "Modern approaches to the improvement and preservation of bee colonies in apiaries."
On the third day, an offsite event was held at the apiary of Alexander Chislov (village Bebelevo, Ferzikovsky district). Experienced and novice beekeepers in practice consolidated their knowledge of methods for diagnosing diseases of bee colonies, their treatment, technologies for keeping, processing hives, feeding colonies to preserve them in winter. After the practical part, a round table was held where the participants could share their experience. The farmers discussed the problems in the field of beekeeping and the idea of including this unit in the region's agritourism program.
Recall that the Business Development Agency advises farmers on legal issues, participation in state support programs. The organization has a technological service that helps to determine the health status of animals. In 2021, the Agency received 720 requests on agribusiness issues. In 30 farms, the technological unit conducted an ultrasound examination of animals. 76 field consultations were provided on the further development of farms.
