When choosing any product, it is important to match the price and quality. But, how to define quality when it comes to such complex technological objects as cold stores for fruits, vegetables or berries? In this case, there are several criteria. One of the main ones is energy efficiency, said Maxim Gladysh, a specialist at Alternative Technologies PF, in a commentary for SEEDS.
“In our work, we pay great attention to the energy efficiency of each designed refrigeration system. That is why maximum energy saving is one of the main criteria for selecting equipment,” says Maksim Gladysh.
According to the representative of Alternative Technologies PF, the number of berry producers is rapidly growing on the Ukrainian market. Berries are a perishable product. That is why the demand for refrigeration equipment for the sector is increasing.
“In addition to the Ukrainian market, berry producers supply products for other countries. Since the EU countries have very high standards for preserving the appearance and taste of frozen products, it is for such EXPORT farms that we select high-quality equipment from European manufacturers. This allows them to be confident in the results they will get,” notes Maxim Gladysh.
Although the construction of storage sites and the purchase of equipment are quite expensive for farmers, the specialist notes that this is a profitable investment, which insures against crop damage and extends the sale of products.
