All districts of the Rostov region started spring sowing

In the Rostov region, the spring sowing campaign continues, which includes the entire range of field work.
“Sowing of spring crops is gaining momentum, all districts of the Rostov region have already joined the sowing campaign, today about 360 thousand hectares or almost 20% of the plan have been sown with spring crops,” said Viktor Goncharov, First Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region. - Now in the Rostov region, sowing of all crops is underway. Most of it is occupied by cereals and legumes - about 260 thousand hectares have already been sown with them. However, the Don agrarians are systematically expanding the range of field work. Industrial and fodder crops have begun, as well as vegetables and potatoes, the area under which is planned to be slightly expanded this year. The moisture accumulated in the soil in recent weeks has a positive effect on the growth and development of both spring and winter crops.”
The leading position in terms of the area of ​​actual sowing is retained by the Peschanokopsky district, where almost 31 thousand hectares have already been sown with early crops. The second place was taken by Tselinsky farmers, who sowed more than 28 thousand hectares. The third place is shared by the Zernogradsky and Salsk farmers, who have sown spring crops on 27.7 thousand hectares in their districts.
In general, more than 260 thousand hectares have already been sown with seeds of early grain and leguminous crops in the region, which is almost 40% of the plan.
Industrial crops today occupy 64 thousand hectares or 6% of the plan, fodder crops are sown on 16 thousand hectares (almost 16%), vegetables and potatoes - on 4.7 thousand hectares (36% of the plan).
In addition, spring feeding of winter crops continues in the fields of all districts of the region.and other types of field work, - added Viktor Goncharov. - To date, winter crops have been fed on an area of ​​almost 2 million 570 thousand hectares, which exceeds 89% of the planned area.
According to the information of the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the mechanism of preferential short-term lending to farmers also contributes to the spring field work. To date, the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA has agreed on preferential loans for the Don agrarians in the amount of 12.2 billion rubles, banks have issued more than 6.25 billion rubles as part of preferential lending.
