The most active introduction of unused lands into agricultural turnover is in Ilyinsky, Gavrilovo-Posadsky, Vichugsky, Ivanovsky, Yuryevets, Yuzhsky, Shuisky, Lukhsky, Teikovsky and Palekhsky districts.
Recall that the task of developing abandoned lands was set by the governor of the Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky. According to Denis Cherkesov, DIRECTOR of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Ivanovo Region, 25,000 hectares of unused land have been put into circulation in the region over four years, of which 9,000 hectares are in the current year.
“Our task is to involve agricultural enterprises and farms in this process as much as possible. But without government support, this is difficult to do. Therefore, for four years, a subsidy is provided for the involvement of unused land in circulation. State support for this area for four years amounted to 150.2 million rubles, including 48.7 million rubles this year,” said Denis Cherkesov.
In the Yuryevets and Privolzhsky districts, land is being commissioned in the peasant (farm) Imran Matagov. Since 2019, the farmer has been putting abandoned land into circulation for further growing crops. For three years, 755 hectares of agricultural land have been introduced in the Yuryevets region and 600 hectares in the Privolzhsky region. On Monday, November 29, representatives of the profile department of the regional government got acquainted with the work of the peasant farm. “First, we clear the land from trees and shrubs with a mulcher, then we harrow in three passes, and then we plow using specialized plows,” the farmer said.
This year, the sown area of peasant farms in the Yuryevets district amounted to 455 hectares. For the harvest of 2022, winter sowing was carried out on an area of 436 hectares in two districts: 236 hectares in the Yuryevets district and 200 hectares in the Privolzhsky district.
