The stand of the Irkutsk region was visited by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev. The Governor of the Irkutsk Region, Igor Kobzev, reported to the Minister on the prospects for the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Angara region.
“Our region has mineral resources, global reserves of clean water, forest wealth, and nature reserves, powerful industrial potential and, of course, the region’s agro-industrial complex, which contributes to the country’s food security and has significant achievements for us. This is, first of all, a high supply of feed grain, MILK, eggs and good crop yields for our climate and soils,” emphasized Igor Kobzev.
The HEAD of the region also noted that the Angara region has high production rates of rapeseed and potatoes. The region ranks 9th in RUSSIA in rapeseed production, 19th in potato production and 18th in the country in egg production.
“We are proud of the rich variety and high quality of goods produced under the brand “Products of the Angara Region”. This is a wide range of dairy products, MEAT and sausage products, fish products, fat and oil products, bakery and confectionery products, and, of course, the purest water. The production of berries and greens in urban “city farms” and the processing of wild raw materials are actively developing,” the Governor said.
Opening the industry exposition, the head of the Irkutsk region gave the Russian Minister of Agriculture a tour of the regional stand.
As part of thematic events, a video dedicated to the achievements of the region’s agro-industrial complex was shown at the stand of the Irkutsk region; leading enterprises of the food processing industry of the Angara region presented their achievements and investment projects in the field of production and processing of milk, oilseeds, and chicken meat production.
