Inspectorate of Gostekhnadzor of the Penza region made the first registration of a self-propelled vehicle with an electronic passport

The main advantages of the electronic passport of a self-propelled vehicle and other types of equipment:
- the transition to an electronic passport of a self-propelled vehicle does not change the usual logic of the behavior of the owners of the equipment - the owner still has a contract of sale and, after registration, a certificate of registration of a self-propelled vehicle.
- at the same time, the owner, registered in the Electronic Passport Systems, will get access to his electronic passport, and Gostekhnadzor employees will have access to electronic passports for registration and other actions.
- exclusion from circulation of a document of personal storage - PTS on paper. An electronic passport cannot be lost and will not have to be renewed.
- the ability to create the most complete history of the vehicle, based on data from trustworthy sources, including information about restrictions and encumbrances, insurance and insured events, accidents, repairs and maintenance.
- the presence of more complete and detailed information about the self-propelled machine in the electronic passport will help to secure market participants.
- any number of consecutive owners can be entered into the electronic passport, while the paper passport must be changed when it ends.
In accordance with the decision of the EEC Board dated September 22, 2015 No. 122, it is planned to completely abandon the paper form of the passport of a self-propelled vehicle from November 01, 2022.
