
For the period from May 7 to May 13, 2022, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of 321 foci of especially dangerous animal diseases from 26 countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the official website of the OIE.
An outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease has been registered in Indonesia (80 outbreaks). At the moment the virus is not typed. The disease has not been reported in the country since 1983.
African swine fever outbreaks have been reported in Hungary (15), Italy (11), Latvia (4), Poland (45), Romania (9) and Thailand (3). Classical swine fever on a farm was reported by official sources in Japan (1 outbreak).
Austria (1), Bulgaria (5), Great Britain (10), Hungary (2), Germany (10), Greece (1), Iceland (1), CANADA (12), Netherlands (2) reported new outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza ), Norway (2), usa (45), Taiwan (1), Philippines (13), Finland (1), France (18), Sweden (3), South Africa (1) and Japan (1). The disease was registered among wild and farm birds. In most cases, the H5N1 avian influenza subtype was identified. In addition, H5N5 has been identified in Norway and H5N2 in Thailand. In Bulgaria, the highly pathogenic avian influenza virus has not been typed.
New outbreaks of Newcastle disease continue to be reported in Colombia (3).
FMD has been reported in Israel (5), Palestine (1) and South Africa (16). In Asia, serotype O has become widespread; in Africa, SAT-2 and SAT-3 have been recorded.
