Epizootic situation for especially dangerous animal diseases in the world from August 7 to 13, 2021

For the period from 7 to 13 August 2021, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of 338 foci of especially dangerous animal diseases in 21 countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the official website of the OIE.

Highly pathogenic H5N1 influenza in poultry has been reported in Côte d'Ivoire (1). The disease has not been reported in the country since 2016. In addition, highly pathogenic avian influenza was noted in the UK (1), the Netherlands (1), Norway (1), Poland (149), Taiwan (1), Finland (1). The disease, caused by the H5N8 H5N5 and H5N1 subtypes, has been reported in farm birds and wild birds.

African swine fever outbreaks are registered in Hungary (12), Germany (30), Dominican Republic (23), Latvia (9), Romania (90), Ukraine (1).

On the territory of Japan (2) new foci of classical swine fever are registered. The disease was noted in the number of domestic pigs. Infectious nodular dermatitis in Nepal (1). FMD notified in African countries: type O in Namibia (1) and SAT2 in South Africa (4). Rabies continues to be recorded in the Malaysian state of Sarawak (3). In Cuba (3) hemorrhagic disease of rabbits. CORONAVIRUS infection covid-19 was registered in the usa (1), in zoo animals (snow leopard). The outbreak of miases of the new world continues in Panama (3).
