
During the period from 4 to 12 November, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of 247 foci of especially dangerous animal diseases in 22 countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the official website of the OIE.
In Jordan (1), an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease caused by type O virus was recorded. The infection spread in the market, among calves and sheep. Previously, the disease in the country was registered only in 2017. In addition, a new outbreak of FMD type O has been reported from CHINA (1). There, the infection was registered in yaks.
For the first time, the disease of CORONAVIRUS infection covid-19 was noted in Singapore (1). Lions at the local zoo have been infected.
New foci of African swine fever have been identified in Bulgaria (1), Hungary (4), Latvia (12), Poland (113), Romania (37), Ukraine (2), China (1) and South Africa (2).
In the UK (11), Germany (5), Denmark (6), Ireland (1), Italy (9), the Netherlands (4), Poland (7), the Czech Republic (1), Sweden (1), South Africa (10 ) and SOUTH KOREA (3) have reported cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza. The disease caused by the H5N1 subtype virus has been identified in farm birds and wild birds.
Lumpy skin disease continues to be reported in Cambodia (7) and Thailand (5).
France has reported anthrax (1) in free range cattle and a case of West Nile fever (1) in a horse.
