
For the period from 23 to 29 October 2021, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of 147 foci of especially dangerous animal diseases in 20 countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the official website of the OIE.

African swine fever outbreaks continue to be registered in Hungary (5), Latvia (11), Poland (50), Romania (32) and South Africa (1). Classical distemper has been reported in pigs in Japan (1).
Highly pathogenic avian influenza has been identified in the UK (1), Germany (5), Denmark (2), Italy (3), Finland (2), Sweden (1) and Estonia (2). The disease caused by the H5N1 and H5N8 subtypes has been reported in farm birds and wild birds.
Foci of infectious nodular dermatitis were recorded in Cambodia (6) and Thailand (3). Rift valley fever has been identified in Mauritania (1). Plague of small ruminants - in Morocco (1). New foci of foot-and-mouth disease have been reported in South Africa (13). In the United States (2) and Spain (1), the CORONAVIRUS infection covid-19 (SARS-COV-2) has been reported in animals.
