Export of meat products from the territory of Stavropol increased by 15%

In 2021, Stavropol managed to increase the EXPORT of MEAT products by 15%, in monetary terms, the current export amounted to $146.3 million or more than 81 thousand tons.
The main increase is observed in poultry and beef. The main foreign economic partners of Stavropol for the export of meat are CHINA , Saudi Arabia, Ukraine. Last year, poultry meat was exported to as many as 26 countries of the world, pork and beef only to South Ossetia. Also last year, the Gabon market was opened for the sale of meat products.
For several years now, the Yugrosprom SHP LLC enterprise of the Novoaleksandrovsky District has been supplying canned meat, sausages and other meat products outside the region for several years.
“At the end of last year, we signed a contract for the supply of meat products with Georgia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Shipment of products, according to the agreements, will begin in February,” explained Tornike Gulua, General DIRECTOR of Yugrosprom SHP LLC.
Recently, the company completed the construction and put into operation a new modern production complex with a logistics center. This plant will allow to produce an additional 10 thousand tons of products per year.
“Within the framework of the regional project “Export of agricultural products (Stavropol Territory)” of the national project “International cooperation and export”, the development of export supplies of agricultural products continues in the Stavropol Territory. Our region is fulfilling the task of increasing the volume of exports of agricultural products, as part of the execution of the Decree of the President of RUSSIA “On the national goals and strategic objectives of the development of the Russian Federation for the period until 2024,” said Dmitry Frolko, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.
