State support for putting fallow lands into circulation in Transbaikalia will increase five times

Subsidizing agricultural producers for putting unused arable land into circulation in the Trans-Baikal Territory will increase fivefold from 2022, said Denis Bochkarev, HEAD of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

“State support aimed at bringing unused lands into circulation and preserving reclaimed soils in agricultural circulation will amount to 173.6 million rubles next year. In 2021, 34 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget to Transbaikalia for these purposes. Thus, funding for this event will increase five times. This will allow the farms of the region to put into circulation at least 30 thousand hectares of fallow farmland,” the minister explained.

He noted that the work on putting unused agricultural land into circulation will take place from April to November. The disbursement of funds is planned for October 2022.

Recall that the Trans-Baikal Territory has a great potential for fallow lands and unused arable land on an area of more than 1 million hectares. Accordingly, one of the main areas of work of the agrarians of the region today is the introduction of agricultural land into circulation to obtain crop products through cultural and technical activities.
